Once upon a time, Gary Spencer Millidges Strangehaven was one of the best-kept secrets in what seems to be an ever-shrinking comics industry. Blending Twin Peaks-inspired themes, standout visuals and designs and an iconoclastic cast of characters not found in comics since Neil Gaimans Sandman run, its no wonder Millidges intricate and entertaining mystery series soon caught the attention of readers, retailers and a number of award committees on both sides of the Atlantic. But its no surprise either. Millidge has been a part of the comics industry for most of his life, as a voracious reader, entrepreneur, writer/artist and self-publisher. Though that life experience has come in handy, its Millidges attention to details that has really made the difference in the success of Strangehaven. On a dreary winter day, Millidge looks back at the journey past, and shares whats ahead for Strangehaven, and, perhaps, the industry.
