strange maven's diary - the millidge weblog

Received an invitation today from the organisers of the comic festival in Naples, Italy, (via the fine publishers of the Italian language version of Strangehaven, Black Velvet) to appear as a guest at the event in March 2006 . More details as I get it, but something to look forward to, I'm sure.
Black Velvet has already published four issues (each collecting two of the regular English language editions) with a fifth on the way, and possibly something special for the Naples show, too.

This may be slightly old news, but interesting to hear that Terry Gilliam is again trying to revive the cursed The Man Who Killed Don Quixote movie. Anyone who has experienced the exquisite frustration of the documentary Lost In La Mancha (the DVD is highly recommended to all Gilliam fans) will be both astonished and overjoyed at the news.
Gilliam has two (2) new movies scheduled for release in 2005, The Brothers Grimm in late August and Tideland later in the year. It's the production company that produced the latter, along with its producer Jeremy Thomas who are attempting to revive Quixote. All the poop at the Terry Gilliam Dreams website:

Helped to celebrate my old mate Big Steve's 50th birthday last night by revisting a few of our old stomping grounds and enjoying some fruit juices. Steve's in the erotic clothing business and has a website devoted to all kinds of weird and wonderful outfits, if that sort of thing's your bag. Reasonable prices, too.
