My Italian co-editor on the Portrait of an Extraordinary Gentleman book, smoky man, has been at it again. He's been putting together a 20th anniversary Watchmen charity tribute book for the Italian market to be published by Lavieri in October 2006. I was asked some time ago to contribute an illustration and I completed a portrait of the second incarnation of the Silk Spectre only last week.
I'll post an image of the illustration at some point after the publication of the actual book itself later this year, so's not to tread on any toes.

d.i.y. hard: with a vengeance
It's almost done. Two sessions with brush, roller and a huge tub of emulsion paint has transformed the back bedroom into... well, a back bedroom. My skin and clothes are still speckled white and some parts require a second coat, but the end is in sight.
Once the edges of the MDF flooring have been sealed with mastic I call call in the carpet fitter and I'll be able to post photographic evidence right here on this page.
