original card art to be auctioned for charity

Gary has again contributed a piece of artwork to Kev F. Sutherland's annual Bristol Comics Festival charity event. This year Kev is compiling a set of playing card illustrations by comics artists and Gary was invited to contribute.

Gary's illustration features Strangehaven characters Alex and Janey on the six of hearts card as shown on the left. The original art is black linework and coloured ink on watercolour board and measures aproximately 7 x 10 inches.

You can make a reserve bid at the Comics 2001 website charity auction page for Gary's art or many others by some of the world's leading comics illustrators. The final auction will be held at Comics 2001 on May 26 & 27.

All monies raised will be donated to the children's charity ChildLine.
