Strangehaven Nominations

Gary Spencer Millidge and his self-published comic Strangehaven have been nominated for two prestigious industry awards.
Attending this year's San Diego Comicon International, Millidge was nominated for the Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award along with Mark Crilley (Akiko) and Jason Lutes (Jar of Fools).
Although the award was won by Crow: Dead Time illustrator Alexander Maleev, Millidge admitted having had an excellent excuse for a wonderful time in California.
In the UK, Millidge's Strangehaven is a current nomination for a Comic Creators' Guild Award in the "Best Ongoing Title" category.
After various setbacks, Millidge reports that, with the fifth issue currently available, he is fully committed to publishing Strangehaven as an ongoing series on an increasingly regular schedule.
Issue 6 ships in February 1997.
