Illuminations # 273
(UK Comics Fanzine) December 1997Strangehaven # 7
I started buying Strangehaven because of the recommendations from ACE and I am glad that I did. The current issue throws even more plot threads into the melting pot - Alex now finds that other people now in Strangehaven have arrived by accident (running away ?) and have been unable to leave. He stumbles onto the scene of his car accident again with the car still there, overgrown and covered in cobwebs. Did he die in the accident? Is everyone in the village dead? Does the village control the people or is it someone in the village that will not let anyone leave? Can anyone leave? Whose car is it at the bottom of the cliff - Steve's? (? Who? Where? Why? Too many questions the only bad thing about it is the 3+ months between issues. Although it does mean that you could buy an issue to try, and if you do like it, you can still order the next one. Don't worry that without earlier issues you won't understand what is going on, it is easy to get into (and very hard to leave).
9/10.
