Strangehaven has become a horizontal
sprawl of inter-relationships with main themes underpinning soap-opera storylines
of increasing complexity. An ambitious move which this eccentric book might
get away with, especially given Millidge's consistent, photo-sourced art. Just
to emphasise this creator's refusal to be pigeon-holed: John Cleese appears
in Basil Fawlty mode to tell Peter what a mess he has made of his life. (JL)
