Strangehaven 4
By Millidge, Abiogenesis PressAlex Ross's use of photo-reference works because, like good actors playing complex roles, you are drawn in by the brilliance of the concept and never see real people dressed strangely and behaving oddly. Gary Spencer Millidge's works too, but in a different way. Like watching Caine and Connery on the screen, you can see the strings, but the charm pulls you in. This is obviously a labour of love, with a very British sensibility, and deserves the plaudits it is receiving. (SF)
Susie thinks she can make Peter dump his wife by bonking his brains out, and tries to get Janey to do the same with Alex. Meanwhile, Megaron is taking young Jeremy out on shamanic journeys, but his father thinks it's a cover for gay intrigue, and Meg doesn't even try to illuminate him. And this is only part of what's going on (FPB)
