The Anglo-Italian charity tribute project, Alan Moore: Portrait of an Extraordinary Gentleman, published by Abiogenesis Press and Black Velvet Editrice has finally received recognition from the unexpected direction of the Bram Stoker Awards.
The 352-page book, edited by Gary Spencer Millidge and smoky man has been shortlisted for the Horror Writer’s Association’s 2004 Bram Stoker Award in the “Nonfiction” category along with Fear in a Handful of Dust by Gary A. Braunbeck, ralan.com edited by Ralan Conley, The Mothers and Fathers Italian Association by Thomas F. Monteleone and Hellnotes edited by Judi Rohrig.

Black Velvet’s Italian language edition of the book was also nominated for the “Best Publishing Event of 2003” award at the Cartoomics Con in Milan, Italy this March.
