Actual bona fide proof that I have not been entirely idle over the past eighteen months comes in the form of the publication of Draw Fantasy Figures, an instructional book that would not have been possible without the astonishing artistic contribution of the wondrous James McKay.
It’s intended for ‘beginners of all ages,’ so if you are looking for a Christmas gift for a gifted young nephew or niece then it may be just the thing. It’s 96 full-colour pages chocked with useful tips and stage-by-stage creation of wizards, princesses, warriors, elves and suchlike.
As I understand it, it should be available on both sides of the Atlantic at an exceedingly reasonable price from all good bricks-and-mortar as well as online retailers around about now. More details can be found on the New Holland Publishers website here.
As a footnote, James and I are currently working on a sequel, Draw Dragons and Other Fantasy Beasts (working title) which is scheduled for publication around this time in 2008. Expect a few reminders before then on this here blog thingy.
